The blade is made using original dies and doesn’t have a kick, the tip rests on the back spring. This allows extensive sharpening without the tip protruding out of the handle once folded (proud tip).

Laguiole 9 ebony
Very classy and elegant little pocket knife. Opening and closing feels excellent. It came with a leather case that fits very nicely in the pocket. Was sharp when purchased and is easy to bring to a razors edge. A gentleman's knife, no doubt. As advertised, and very fast shipping!
