Wood like Ivory
These Au Sabot barrel knives are just outstanding. This is my third barrel knife purchase. I am pleased as punch. The pictures just don't do these wood covers justice: the grain structure is so dense and smooth it almost looks and feels like ivory. There's a natural brilliance to the color. If you've ever held a Case & Son's knife in yellow delrin and enjoyed feeling the warm smoothness of the material, then you're going to really appreciate this. As always, this was built like a tank. Sturdy, tough and a remarkably thin bevel on that blade. These guys know how to make knives. Couldn't be happier with this knife. By the way, Knives of France provides the best service experience on the knife market: absolute pleasure to do business with.
